FIFA on Thursday announced it has extended its deals with Fox for English-language broadcasts and Telemundo for Spanish-language telecasts in the U.S. through the 2026 World Cup.
That means the next three World Cups (2018, 2022, 2026) and Women’s World Cups (2015, 2019, 2023) all will have the same television home.
ESPN previously had a stranglehold on the U.S. World Cup rights deal, broadcasting the event from 1994-2014.
